It has been a good year! I am looking forward to a fantastically blessed 2010!
I have been taking stock of 2009 as many people do at this time of year. I realized that 2009 was THE year that I KNEW, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I want to make a difference in this world. I know that most of us want to make a difference and yes, I have wanted to do this for most of my life. So....what has changed?

I am not sure really, I have surely grown in the last 2 years, probably more than I ever have before and I have changed alot too. I guess that probably goes hand in hand with growth. The changes I have gone through since 2007 have been tremendous! All growth is good but sometimes the growth that we experience becomes about others more than ourselves and that is the kind of growth I have experienced since 2007.
So...the question remains...WHY?

In a nutshell I truly believe that the "WHY" is more a "WHO" and the who is GOD. God has moved in my life since April 2007 more than ever before whether I wanted it or not. If I look back at my post about "The Mountain of God" I can see it beginning...the story starts there.

Since 2007 I have begun a ministry to help single parent families and families that have suffered the loss of a child. It just happened along the way...I didn't ask for it.... IT just happened. IT has not been an easy endeavor, no, not at all. It has been hard, it has been discouraging and it has been VERY slow in growth.
BUT 1 year later I still feel it is right. We have alot of growth to come, and come it will. Things in 2009 for my ministry have been touch and go...one minute it seems as though we are ontop of the world and all is going our way, then the whole situation would turn and it would not be what it appeared to be. It has been a strange journey in that way, but I am ok with it. I know it is not GOD keeping me down, I know the closer we get to helping others the harder this will be. We cannot give up. I do not know about the "WE" but I know about the "ME" and the me will not give up.

For many years now, way before I ever thought about having a non profit, I have been in search of a business that I could get behind, something that I could be passionate about, probably in the wellness industry, that I could make a living at. I have tried a few different products, I have found 2 that I liked.....those are Xocia and Monavie. After much thought and research I chose to stick with Monavie. I believe in antioxidants and I DO NOT eat my veggies and fruits as I should, so I was on a quest to quickly get to consuming something that would supplement my diet!
Now that I have made my decision I have high hopes that my association with MV and it's distributors, as well as my non profit work will help to grow my ministry. My hopes are that one will enhance the other. Of course the idea is that being involved with MV will broaden my network. Therefore by knowing and being exposed to more people I will find people who will want to support my cause. I do not think that is too much to want...it is not too big a dream. I have seen the people I am getting associated with and what I am seeing, both in the Nonprofit world and the MV world is that the common theme is "caring" "generous" "selfless" people. Those are the kind of people I need and want to be around.

My hope for 2010 is that my thought process on this is correct and both my business and my ministry will benefit from my association with like minded wonderful people.

So, here is to you and your family and business. I wish for you all the personal and professional growth that you desire OR need in 2010!

I bet you are wondering what has been happening with MV? Well, I joined, you know that much....so i really did not start drinking it consistently until about Nov 30th !! Yeah well.....what can I say. I was not really getting any encouragement from my upline, not that they were not supportive but with the holidays and their work.....hate that word.....they just never connected with us. Then finally around the 3rd of Dec we met with them. It was a ok meeting...but we were not entirely comfortable with our upline, not the lady who signed us up but her upline. Since,a s I explained in my last post, she is not really very experieinced with MV or any other type of network marketing, we felt we would have to depend on the next one up. As said...not very comfortable with them.

So....fast forward to Dec 7th and my hubby and I get a call from a friend who ois in MV !! Well, he is fired up and has some great support and is connected to one of the only Black Diamonds in Indiana! He gets us so fired up that my husband is like.......I want to sign up with him!

Long story short....we aer now under him and doing great.

As far as how the product is working for me? OH my goodness! I have been a huge advocate of antioxidants and the Acai berry for about 2 yrs now....and this is why! My acid reflux is all but gone, I am sleeping better and my energy level is much higher than normal. It is amazing during the day I have plenty of energy but come night BOOM I have no problem going to sleep!

Oh...and I look forward to my morning and evening drinks!! I really look forward to them!

My hairstylist is a Mona Vie distributor, she is new enough that she really does not know too much about it but she does like to drink it.

I have been a big healthy chocolate advocate in the past but have never tried Mona Vie...ok that actually is not true, I did try it about 3 yrs ago and have to say I HATED it! YUK!  So I have not been in any kind of a big hurry to try it again. I stopped eating my chocolate just because it was too expensive to continue ( $139.00 per month).

Anyway, so my hairstylist, Lacy, is a new distributor and gets me a bottle of the Active as well as a energy drink. I have tried both and have to say I LOVE IT. WOW what a difference 3 yrs makes! I really do like it very much. So much so that I have signed myself and my daughter up to be distributors!

The difference between  Xocia and Mona Vie when you sign up is that when I signed up for Xocia I had to buy 2 cases as it was explained to me and pay a enrollment fee of $39.00 with Mona Vie no enrollment fee and only 1 case. The cost per case is about the same for both products.

I do not know what kind of a market we really have here in Indiana for this BUT what I do know is that the market for this is not saturated here in the Midwest AND I do know that people are really starting to look at antioxidants here. Being from California I am a little ahead of others out here. LOL I always say Indiana is about 10 ys behind the West Coast. hahaha  but hey...I am a HOOSIER now too!

Have you jumped on the Twitter bandwagon yet? Have you been swayed by all of the hoopla about marketing and twitter?
I do not know about you but I have been using Twitter now for about 8 months and I find it to be a very interesting venue for marketing. I am not sure that it really drives as much traffic as you may think it would to your website BUT you certainly cannot deny the amount of attention you can get from the Twitterverse!

It is pretty simple really, just go to their website www.twitter.com and get yourself a account. It is free. Then start looking for friends that you may know that have an account. Once you find some add them by "following" them and the idea is that they will in turn " follow" you.
Once you do this you can grow your "followers" by doing a few things on a daily or at least weekly basis. Of course....you could be one of THOSE people who use some sort of a auto follower adder to their account. For the record...I loath THOSE people. LOL Come on, if you cannot get people to follow you without a tacky auto adder then forget about it! 
Okay, so what are these few things you can do to grow your "follower" list? Well, first and foremost be REAL...ummm let me repeat...be REAL. Just be yourself, it is that easy. Well, at least one of the things you can do is that easy. Nobody likes becoming your friend to find out that all you care about is selling them something. So, when someone follows you DO NOT just send them a notice or tweet about what it is that YOU sell. Maybe you can ask about them...see what it is that they do, see what it is that they are into to. That is a good start.
Second, maybe try to post once or twice a day something about yourself...your interests or what is happening in your life today. Try and be witty or wise..thoughtful...any of these things are good.

Then there is #Follow Friday. What is #Follow Friday? It is a little thing that happens every Friday in the Twitterverse. You acknowledge your followers as the great people that they hopefully are by @ reply them and before hitting send you add #FollowFriday. They in turn will send your name out to their list and all of their followers and so on and so on......by doing this each and every Friday you will gain many,many new followers each week. This #FF I a powerful twitter tool!!!

Now that you are armed with some Twitter info go out and multiply your "followers" in the Twitterverse!

I said I would be back that night to post a blog but guess what? My dog passed away and it has been kinda hectic around here. As a matter of fact this just reminded me that I need to do a search for a headstone for my dogs grave. That tells you how close we all were to him and how much he will be missed. He was 17 years old! AND he was a Chihuahua...they usually do not live that long!

Anyway, I am here now and want to talk to you about Attraction Marketing, ever hear of it? Have you heard of The Law Of Attraction? Sure you have, most everyone has by now. Well, Attraction Marketing is based upon the principles of The Law of Attraction. Just by saying those words you probably start to get an idea of what Attraction Marketing is all about, right?

Let's start with the traditional method of marketing or getting leads and what you did with them in the past. Traditionally you would get your leads from cold calling, buying leads, harassing your friends and family, your sphere of influence...sound familiar? Sadly there are still uplines out there telling their teams to do this. As a result there are alot of people, you may be one of them, out there that feel like Network Marketing is a terrible business that does not work. They think they are the problem or  that nobody can make it in Network Marketing and that their upline was probably not being honest about the success they knew was being had by others in this business.

This approach does not work anymore. People are not having it. People, including you I bet, are tired of being SOLD to. They want to be left alone with their choices and be able to make a decision based on what they want not what you shove at them and tell them that they need.

How about this- how about you start thinking of the prospect instead of yourself? What if you look at your target market as someone that you can HELP rather than someone you can SELL TO? 

Attraction Marketing is about having something that people are attracted to. If you stop thinking about the money and start thinking about the person you may be surprised at the change in the way people look at you and your product.

There is alot more to attraction marketing than this but the crux of the matter is that we need to be nicer, we need to be more considerate and helpful to others. We need to stop wondering what it is that they can do for US and wonder what it is that we can do for THEM.
Try it...see what happens.

So- WHO can you treat better today? Is there someone who can benefit from you product? NOT Is there someone that you can sign up and make money off of..... is there someone who you can help? And IF you cannot think of anyone that can truly benefit from your product then maybe you do not have the right product??  You need to be passionate about your product whatever it is. And you need to trust that it is to only a good product but it can help others! that is the KEY to your success! Help others..be kind to others....
Look back at this blog, I talk about that alot too.

Where have you been? Well, you may ask that question and it would be well founded but it is going to take me a few days to get it all together. An answer that is!

I want to apologize to anyone that had been following my fledgling site! Back in June I had a family emergency that pretty much took me out of circulation for the summer and fall.

I missed so much! All is well now and I am back and ready to go! I am going to take a few days to fill you all in on what has been happening with me. Even though I was really out of commission I still had some time to grow and learn and I want to share some of that with you.

 

The road to success is always under construction!!! I have hit some potholes, barriers and other obstacles, but I keep pushing forward. One thing I will impart to you very quickly and I am sure that most of you are already aware......

PASSION is the KEY to your and MY success!

 

Seriously, if you do not have passion you will not be going anywhere. You need to have a solid purpose and you need to have passion for what it is that you are doing. And here is a hint for you- IF YOU LOVE OTHERS AND WANT TO HELP YOU WILL BE A SUCCESS!  Period!

WOW~ Great title, huh? I am sure alot of people came here hoping that I hold some great secret on how to become a MILLIONAIRE! Yeah, right. I wish it were that easy. But, it is not and if you think that there is a quick way to become a Millionaire, a way to do it without some hard work, then not only are you dreaming, but you are in the wrong place!!   There is no quick way to become a millionaire except to win it or inherit it! PERIOD! So, assuming that you have neither won it nor inherited it and are not in line to do either anytime soon,  let us continue.............

I have been searching for a way to make a fortune online for many years, it can happen, I just have not had it happen to me yet. I know it can happen, I have talked to people that it has or is happening to right now! 

Okay, so when finding your product, your "thing" that is going to make you your fortune, you need a "niche" and you need passion. You also need elbow grease. You need staying power.  There is alot that you actually need in order to be successful in your new business but this is a ongoing Blog so I will just keep plugging away week after week figuring it all out and hoping that you join me along the way.
